RACIAL VIOLENCE IN KENTUCKY: GAINES CENTER WEBINAR
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 1, 2020) — The University of Kentucky Gaines Center for the Humanities hosted a virtual event exploring racial violence in Kentucky from a historical perspective. This is the first of a series of programs related to the center’s focus on citizenship for the academic year. Historian and UK’s interim Vice President for Institutional Diversity George Wright led the free public discussion on Zoom.

UK DANCE TO PRESENT ‘ONCE VACANT: BODIES IN MOTION … STILL’
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 3, 2020) — The University of Kentucky Department of Theatre and Dance students cannot take the traditional stage with a live audience, but that is not stopping them from creating and performing. UK dance students will pivot to a new venue and present “Once Vacant: Bodies in motion still” Oct. 17 at a location more conducive to safety guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic — a parking lot.
